Education:
- 1984: Graduated from Ankara Ataturk Anadolu High School.
- 1991: Received a medical degree in English from Hacettepe University.
- 1996: Completed his residency in ophthalmology at Ankara University.
- 1999-2001: Completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Oxford University.

- 1997-1998: Head of the Strabismus Department at the 2nd Ophthalmology Clinic, Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital.
- 1998-1999: Head of the Glaucoma Department at the same institution.
- 1999-2000: Fellow in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Oxford University, Radcliffe Eye Hospital.
- 2001-2004: Head of the Vitreoretinal Department at the Ophthalmology Clinic 2, Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital.
- 2004-2010: Associate Professor of Vitreoretinal Diseases and Head of the Pediatric Ophthalmology Department at Mustafa Kemal University, Hatay.
- 2010-2019: Associate Professor of Ophthalmology Clinic at Eastern Mediterranean Hospital, Hatay.
