- Dr. Joaquim Casañas Sintes graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona in 1993.
- He completed an internship in the Hand and Brachial Plexus Surgery Department at the Avicenne Hospital and Bichat Hospital, in Paris, in 1997.
- He received the European Society for Surgery of the Hand certificate in 2001.
- He completed an internship at the Mayo Clinic, USA, in 2005.
- He has been a member of the American Association for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) since 2012.
Dr. Casañas main area of scientific interest is the restoration of peripheral nerves using electrophysiologically guided surgeries.
