Dr. Jürgen Kiewit

Dr. Jürgen Kiewit - Professor, neurosurgeon

Jürgen Kiewit is a professor of medical sciences and one of Germany's most renowned specialists in the treatment of neuro-oncologic diseases. He also specializes in the fields of vascular neurosurgery and spine surgery, with a particular focus on pain therapy.

Dr. Kiewit strives to minimize surgical intervention in the treatment of all diseases, including the treatment of cerebral circulatory disorders. The professor predominantly uses endovasĸular techniques that do not compromise the integrity of the skull.

The professor is the author of a uniĸcial methodĸ for the diagnosisĸ and treatment of neuroonĸology. Thus, the examination of the patient necessarily includes a molecular genetic study. On the basis of the results obtained (including other diagnostic measures), the doctor personally selects the components for the chemotherapy course and draws up a surgical plan.

Prof. Kivit also performs uniquely minimally invasive surgeries on parts of the spine that are difficult to access. For example, the doctor uses the uniquely designed TESSYS technique, which makes it possible to remove a herniated disc through a single penetration.
